UPDATE, 10:37am: And here's a telling quote from a PSU prof from a Times Leader story on the same topic.
A Penn State professor claims Hazleton's ordinances embolden people with a predisposition to prejudice to act on their feelings and serve as a rallying point for hate groups.
"Look at the rhetoric of these ordinances and their emphasis on protecting Americans from the influx of undesirable outsiders," said Amir Marvasti, an assistant professor of sociology at the Altoona campus. "It's not very different from the language of hate groups and their obsessions with preserving the purity of the white race."

Hizzoner the Mayor is refusing help from the KKK? Intentionally or not, he's been helping them out for some time now. They just want to return the favor!
Maybe he will now wake up to the consequence of his rash and unjust legislation.
This is a perfect example of how too many people confuse support for something with it being "right."
It doesn't matter if plenty of people support discrimination and hate (even if they disguise it). It's still wrong.
We live in a free country that lets people hate, and it's a price we have to pay for the freedom we have.
But just because something is legal doesn't make it right, either.
It will be very interesting to see the judge's ruling in this.
It will be very interesting for the judge to watch a KKK Parade in Hazelton. What could say more for the case?
